Ufotable Studios has announced that a new update regarding season 3 will be announced on December 14, 2022, ahead of Jump Festa 2023, where the series gets the Jump Super Stage. The inclusion of the
new update has prompted fans to anticipate the 2023 release date and another official trailer for the Swordsmith anime arc. Upcoming Villages.

Season 2 episode 18 depicted the Upper Moon Six brothers, Gyutaro and Daki's tragic backstories, and revealed Upper Moon Two's demon, Doma, who had turned them both into demons after finding them half dead in the street.
The final scene of episode 18, which corresponds to the end of chapter 97 of the manga, shows Akaza being summoned to Muzan's Infinity Palace. This reminds the demons that one of the upper moons has been killed by the Demon Slayers.
The Demon Slayer anime tends to maintain the manga's narrative chronology. Therefore, it's likely that season 3 episode 1 will start animating arc with chapter 98, which introduces the Moon Demons or The Upper Moon who gather in the Infinity Palace.
